How to apply
Step One
Complete the application form which is available at Birtwistle's Independent Funeral Service. We can help you complete the forms and answer any questions you may have regarding the service.
Step Two
Complete a payment form indicating your method of payment which can be either cash or cheque. You will also have the option to pay in installments.
Step Three
Birtwistle's Independent Funeral Service will forward both forms to Golden Leaves Trust who are the the Financial Services Authority that provide the service.
Step Four
Once your application has been processed by the authority they will issue a pre-paid funeral plan document along with an emergency card.
Your funeral plans are safe and secure
It would be understandable if you were concerned about buying a pre-paid plan in these uncertain financial times. Please be reassured that all our plans' funds are held in an independently managed trust, where they accumulate stable long-term growth, specifically to cover the increasing cost of funeral services.
The Trustees are required to ensure the levels of funds are available to cover the cost of all funerals when they occur.
